(More customer reviews)This book is very nice-looking. However, I was disappointed to find that it doesn't contain any of the recipes I've enjoyed at Mangia's over the years. I used to work in Rockefeller Center, an easy walk from the first Mangia's (and even easier to have them deliver). When I changed jobs, I thought I'd died and gone to heaven when I discovered the new Mangia's right across the street. So I have eaten there many, many times -- both takeout and in the upstairs restaurant with friends. I was therefore very disappointed not to find any of the recipes I was seeking, which I have enjoyed so much at Mangia's. I also hate the index; it is a royal pain to have to look at the sandwich chapter (or whatever) rather than being able to skim that heading in the index.
In short, this would undoubtedly be a phenomenal book if you don't have any expectations -- but was a disappointment for someone seeking favoite recipes, and unable to find them.
